Brief Summary

Customer was beyond capacity in current server room. CLC converted basement offices into a NEW state of the art server room supporting over 400 servers for the Palo Alto VA Network. CLC also converted old server room into usable office space. Cable Links was the Prime Contractor and supervised all labor, material, subcontractors and self performed the Electrical and Low Voltage portion of the contract. The low voltage installation included installation of 40 enclosed server racks, with server mounting trays and rails, seismic mounting kits, 2-post open racks, vertical and horizontal raceways, suspended cable tray, conduit, junction boxes, ladder racks, patch panels, copper and fiber backbone cabling from IDF to MDF, 1500 internal copper Category 6 cable runs, terminating, testing and labeling all cable runs.

Brief Summary

Customer is trying to achieve a Class A loop for the fire alarm system. Fiber Optics is being installed from building to building fire alarm panels. Most of the fiber work is outside plant requiring trenching and boring between buildings. Conduit and inner-duct is being installed with a 12-Strand MM Fiber around the campus. Cable Links used a subcontractor for parts and smarts on the fire alarm system. Cable Links is managing project as the prime contractor, installing all fiber optics, mounting fire alarm panels and devices when necessary. Cable Links installed Phase I of the fiber in 2008.
